Description Small storyboard carved from a single flat, oval-shaped piece of wood; Scene is carved in bas relief and depicts a village scene, including a central canoe (with alligator prow) with two men rowing and two figures riding; A group of three villagers (a woman and two men) are on the shoreline; Several village houses and trees are also depicted in the background, along with a central sun motif; Details of all carved figures (people’s facial features and clothing, leaves on trees, decorative motifs on canoe, etc.) are accentuated by shallowly incised lines filled with lime; Areas between carved figures are lightly coated with an earth pigment; Two holes remain at top where plant fiber handle, now missing, had been attached; Unsigned.
