Description Eototo or Chief katsina; Three-dimensional carved figure in standing position; The figure’s body is painted white; its eyes and mouth are painted as black dots and there is a single grey feather on the top of its head; The figure wears a carved, multicolor ruff, white shirt with black sash across the right shoulder, white kilt with black, red, and green designs, a dance sash with black, red, green, and blue patterns, and red moccasins with a green, white, and red patterned band around the ankles; The figures legs are textured like corn kernels; In the left hand he carries a white board and a yellow gourd, each on a string and in the right he carries a grey feather; The figure is standing on an unpainted, circular wooden base; Signature on the bottom of the base reads “Leo Lacapa Jr. Hopi Eototo”.
