Description Eagle katsina; Three-dimensional figure in upright action position (arms raised at sides, right foot raised, slightly bent forward at the waist); The figure is wearing a green mask with large protruding beak, small feathers on top, orange protruding ears, and three large, carved feathers extending horizontally from the back of the head; There is a carved feather ruff around the figures neck that extends up the back of the mask; The figure’s body is painted yellow with the forearms, chest, and calves painted a darker brown and outlined in black; He is wearing large, carved feather wings, a carved feather tail, a yellow kilt with orange, green, and black pattern, an orange belt with green and black pattern, and an intricately painted sash with black, green, orange, yellow, and white patterns; A grey fox skin hangs from the waist at the back; He is also wearing a board on his back painted with orange, green, black, yellow, and white designs that is secured around his neck by a blue tie; Around his ankles are painted turquoise cuffs; The figure is standing on an unpainted, circular base; Signature on the bottom reads “Coolidge Roy Jr. Old Oraibi”.
