Hopi katsina; Puchkofmoktaqa (Scorpion Katsina) or Throwing Stick katsina; Three-dimensional figure in running position; Figure’s body is painted muddy yellow with green stripes running from the wrist upward to the shoulder and then down to the feet on both the front and back of the body; The eyes and mouth are painted black and there are a pair of green vertical lines on each cheek; The figure has two green horns that curve inward; Black yarn tassels hang from each horn on the side on the figure’s head; The figure wears a black breechclout with red and green line design and a green waist band and a grey fox skin around its waist; red moccasins, and a black tie around the neck; on each arm there is a red yarn tie above the elbow and on each leg is a black yarn tie below the knee; on the left arm is a painted bracelet and on the right is a black yarn tie; the figure carries a red, black, and white painted rabbit stick in each hand; The figure is standing on an unpainted, circular wood base; Signature on the bottom of the base reads “Ramon Albert Sr. Box 64 Hotevilla AZ 86030.†|
