Description Chinle Old Navajo rug, woven in plain tapestry weave; Design consists of two columns of five concentric serrated diamonds each, in colors of gray, black, and red, with superimposed stylized squash blossom motifs in the center in colors of gray, white, and black; All designs are on a beige background, with remaining spaces filled with white and black serrated diamonds and half-diamonds; Entire design field is framed on the sides by black pendant triangles, and framed at the top and bottom by a thick black border; At all four corners there is a small pattern running diagonally of black stacked triangles; Selvage and end cords are beige.
