Description | Small round pitcher with flat base, expanded midsection, and tall slightly constricted neck with flaring rim; Single vertical strap handle is attached at rim (rising slightly above rim) and just below midlevel on side; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped smooth and coated with a buff-colored slip; Designs on exterior are painted in red in a variation of the "fish bone pattern", consisting of asymmetrical vertical columns of contiguous triangles with single framing lines along the outer edges of the columns, all extending from base to rim; Solid red line encircles lip of mouth and lip of base; Outer edges of handle are painted with solid red lines and series of parallel horizontal lines decorate the outside of the handle; Underside of base is painted with series of large randomly placed red dots. | |
