| Description |
Necklace constructed from a cylindrical ivory container with a screw-off top; Inside of top is decorated with a disc of red cinnabar carved into a floral design; Outside of top has a metal floral-like design attached to which the cord is fashioned; Cord consists of a long vertical piece surrounded by a series of loose, horizontal loops; Two ivory tubular beads adorn the cord near the container; Each bead has a double floral-like metal decoration on each end; Container is carved on the outside with a figure of a dragon which wraps around the cylinder; Two black dots indicate the dragon’s eyes; The base of the container is missing rendering it non-functional as a container. |
