Tabua consisting of sperm whale tooth with holes drilled through the distal and proximal ends; Holes have wires threaded through, attaching the tooth to a thick coconut fiber cord braided in an almost square weave; Tooth has been rubbed with coconut oil and turmeric to darken it. |
