| Description | Fighting and hunting club with heavy, cylindrical shaft that expands to maximum diameter near distal end; Both distal and proximal ends taper to sharpened points; Proximal end of shaft is marked all over with shallow adze marks, providing gripping surface; entire shaft is marked with shallow parallel grooves running length of shaft and stained ochre red; Small traces of white pigment also remain in several of the grooves. | |
