Description | Long hand spear carved from single piece of wood; Overall shape is cylindrical with both proximal and distal ends tapered; Small panel measuring approx. 9 cm in length and containing 2 human figures carved in low relief and possibly stained with ochre is located approximately 35 cm from distal end of spear; Above carved panel there is evidence that a portion of the distal end was originally wrapped with some type of fiber; Entire length of shaft is stained black. | |
