Description | Deep round basket with flat sides and slightly flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and consist of solid black circular area in center of base, encircled by narrow circle; Negative Greek fret design encircles the sides of the basket, framed above (final rim coil) and below (along junction of base and side) by narrow black bands. | |
