Description | Round domed lid with short knob handle; Lid is woven entirely in closed plain twining; Warp and weft material is rye grass stems; Designs are woven of worsted wool yarn and white seal gut in false embroidery technique and consist of concentric bands on knob in colors of yellow, white, and red; Designs on wide shoulder of lid consist of concentric bands of bicolored rectangles in colors of pink, red, blue, purple, and white, and which are grouped by color in pie-shaped areas that appear to radiate out from the center. | |
