| Description | Small round basket with flat base and slightly flaring sides, woven entirely in plain twining technique; Warp and weft material is spruce roots; Designs are also woven in plain twining technique, using dyed and undyed spruce roots as the weft; Designs include 5 parallel bands that encircle the sides of the basket; 3 of the design bands use dyed black spruce root and 2 of them use dyed red spruce root, and in each of the bands the dyed weft is manipulated so that the dyed weft aligns diagonally in successive rows of twining. | |
