Description Rectangular basket with flat base and slightly flared sides rising to a ovoid rim, woven primarily in wrapped twining technique, with plaiting on the base and several rows of plain twining around the outside edge of the base; Warp material is cedar bark slats and the primary weft material is bear grass leaves; Designs are woven of dyed weft material and consist of blue and straw-colored ticked band along juncture of base and sides, band of yellow diamonds on red background around mid-section, and 2 bands with orange zigzag on green background (1 around lower sides and 1 just below rim); Flat bail handle made from cedar slat wrapped in orange bear grass with ribbon bead of blue bear grass is attached to rim along sides of basket.
