Description |
Oil lamp constructed from multiple tiers of carved wooden lotus and other floral designs; Each tier is individually carved from two pieces of wood and glued together to form a layer with a square hole in the middle; The tiers are threaded on a square stick and thus stacked together; The top has a metal frame and is covered in paper; A hinged door allows the oil reservoir to be inserted; Japanese writing, beginning with the name “Kyoto” is on the central stick and hidden from view when the lamp is intact. |
