Description | Deep, polychrome bowl with round base and straight rim; Two sets of double red stripes encircle the bowl, one set near the rim, the other near the base; Between these lines are a series of designs, also red; One design is a diamond shape with a double outline; Inside the diamond is a series of hatch marks running parallel to the diamond borders; A second design is in the shape of an 8, also with a double outline; Inside each section of the "8" is a series of hatch marks running horizontally and vertically; Both the diamond and the "8" shapes have a double set of red lines above them shaped like a "U"; Each end of the "U" curls back down slightly; These "U" shapes are centered above the diamond and "8" shapes, above the red encircling stripe; The diamond and "8" shape designs appear to be replicated on the other side of the bowl, but that side is too burned to show clearly what the designs were; Brown-gray with red paint; Discolored by fire. | |
