Description | Bowl with wide rim and narrower base, set on four bulbous legs (one missing), each with a small round hole on the inner side; Two legs contain clay rattles; Rim of bowl has geometric design of four sets of horizontal rings; The top ring, right along the rim, is solid, while the ring below is broken into dashes; The third ring down is solid and the fourth is broken into dashes; Below these four rings are triplets of thick vertical lines running approximately halfway down the bowl; These vertical lines have little stems on their lower ends so that they loosely resemble feathers; There appear to have been four sets of these vertical lines, pointing down between the bowl's legs, however only two sets are present, the pieces which would have displayed the other two sets having broken off; The designs on the bowl were burned off in the 1906 fire and only appear as shadows of what they were; Orange. | |
