Description | Top of figurine; Jaguar head with bulging, pupil-less eyes, large ears, and barred teeth; A mottled-looking collar runs around the neck as well as from the nape down the back and up over the head onto the forehead; An inverted horseshoe-shaped clasp or pendant covers the collar at the throat; The right foreleg is present and bends forward to the elbow with oversized claws curled under the chest; A round hole lies in the center of the back; Red-orange terra cotta from fire damage. | |
