| Description | Comb carved from single piece of wood; Distal end has 7 teeth (probably had 8 originally) that are round in cross-section and tapered; Squared-off proximal end is decorated on both faces with shallowly carved geometric designs (diamonds on front and chevrons on reverse); Cylindrical handle extends up from carved area, terminating in a 3-dimensional human head with elaborate hairstyle and seemingly lacking lower portion of face. | |
