| Description | Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; Design band around interior rim is painted in matte black slip and consists of contiguous elongated triangles with one concave long side and one convex long side, all laid end to end around rim and forming a whirling motif; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base. | |
