| Description | Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; Design band around interior rim is painted in matte black slip and consists of 8 contiguous semicircles with series of 3 parallel pendant dashes between adjacent semicircles (variation of rain cloud design); Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base. | |
