| Description | Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, coated with a and highly burnished; Design band painted in matte black slip around interior rim consists of contiguous triangular units with bifurcated bases and a short negative dashed line within each, all arranged to form a whirling pattern around rim; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is very finely incised in script on base. | |
