Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; design band around interior rim is painted in black matte slip and consists of 8 contiguous elongated triangles, each with one long concave side; A series of 3 dots borders the shortest end of each triangle; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base. |
