Round shallow dinner-sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth and highly burnished; Design band painted in matte black slip around interior rim consists of 8 wide contiguous triangles with concave sides; Each triangle also has an appended key-shaped hook; Plate is reduction-fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised on base. |
