Description |
Round shallow dinner-sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth and highly burnished; Band of contiguous elongated triangles (each with convex sides and pendant from interior rim) is painted in matte black slip around interior rim, producing a negative feather pattern; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base. |
