Description | Round jar with flat base, flaring lower sides, high shoulder and inward curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, coated with a slip, and exterior and rim are highly burnished; Single framing line and band of small contiguous triangles are painted in matte black slip and encircle neck of jar; Jar is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Blue Corn San Ildefonso Pueblo" is incised in script on base. | |
