Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; Design band painted around interior rim is painted in black matte slip and consists of contiguous crescent shapes with tear drop shape pendant from each juncture of adjacent crescents; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised on base. |
