Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, coated with a slip, and well burnished; Design band painted in matte black around interior rim consists of of contiguous crescent shapes with pair of short dashes pendant from each one (rain cloud symbol); Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is very finely incised in script on base. |
