Description | Kana-a black-on-white jar with rounded base, spherical body and inward curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and exterior is slipped white; Pair of perforated lug handles are attached high on exterior sides opposite each other; Two design bands encircle exterior of jar, the first one encircling the rim above the lug handles and containing a negative zigzag line; Second design band extends from just below lug handles to slightly below midlevel height and is divided into 4 panels, two of which contain solid black triangles and open, concentric squares, while the other two contain series of parallel zigzag lines flanked by diagonal columns of solid black triangles. | |
