Description Round jar with flat base and overall spherical shape with midlevel shoulder, rounded upper body that slopes inward toward rim, and wide mouth; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; Exterior is covered with dark rust brown slip and highly burnished; Design band around upper sides on exterior is painted in gray, pale coral, tan, and white and includes alternating paired terraced triangles and paired straight-edged triangles, all outlined in white and bordered by double white framing lines above and below; Jar is unsigned. Identified as the work of Catherine Vigil in March, 1982 by her son Martin Vigil, Jr.
