Description | Double saddle blanket woven herringbone twill and plain tapestry weaves; Half of the blanket in tapestry weave has all over checkerboard pattern in red and blue (with one row of orange blocks in place of red), accomplished by changing color of weft fiber at each turn; Opposite half in herringbone twill has central band woven in red, white, and tan, flanked by bands red, white, and blue; Narrow red band in plain tapestry weave is at both ends of blanket. | |
