| Description | 3-dimensional carved figurine in standing position, representing Monongwa (Small River or Flash Flood Katsina); Figure's upper torso is painted red except for shoulders and forearms which are yellow; He wears a carved and painted white kilt with dance sash and blue moccasins; Case mask is white in back and pale blue in front with elongated black rectangular eyes and black triangular mouth; Black and white band frames upper and lower edges of face; Front half area on top of mask is bisected by pale blue bar, flanked by red quadrant on right and yellow quadrant on left; Wild turkey feather is inserted on each side of mask in place of ear and three wild turkey feathers are inserted into top of mask. | |
