| Description | Small but deep oval basket with flat base and flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is cedar splints and primary weft material is cedar roots; Designs are woven in imbrication technique, and consists of 5 rows of 4 widely spaced parallelograms each on exterior sides of basket, with each motif comprising diagonal columns of undyed and dyed (tan) bear grass leaves and mud-dyed (black) cherry bark. | |
