| Description | Deep round basket with flat base and slightly rounded, vertical sides, woven in coiled technique over medium-sized bundle coils; Pair of small black yucca-wrapped loops are attached at rim; Warp material is galleta grass stems and weft materials is natural and vegetal dyed split yucca leaves; Design on sides of basket consists of two large eagles with outstretched wings, whose bodies and head are yellow and rust brown outlined in black; Their wings are solid black and their tail feathers are a natural sun bleached color outlined in black, all on a natural sun bleached background; Each eagle's beak, eyes, and head feathers are woven with overlay stitches; Final rim coil is black. | |
