| Description | Miniature round basket with flat base and slightly flaring, vertical sides, woven in wicker technique; Warp material is both dyed brown and dyed yellow oak splints arranged in radiating pattern in alternating colors on base and then bent upward to also form the sides; Weft material of dyed brown or dyed yellow peeled honeysuckle vines is used alternately to produce an overall brown and yellow checkerboard pattern; Rim is reinforced on interior with undyed oak splint and on exterior with dyed yellow oak splint that are coil-wrapped together with dyed yellow oak splint; Single undyed oak splint bale handle is attached at rim. | |
