| Description | Painting on tan paper entitled "Eagle Dancers" depicting two eagle dancers shown in full frontal, standing pose; Each dancer wears black leggings, kilt with painted snake image, eagle feather "wings", and head cap with protruding "beak"; Dancers are holding their arms out and away from their bodies and are shown against plain background with no attempt at perspective; Signature "Awa Tsireh" is printed in black ink in lower right corner. Awa Tsireh was the cousin of Margaret Lou Gutierrez, whose work is represented in the CAS pottery collection. | |
