| Description | Painting on tan paper entitled "Eagle Dance" depicting 2 eagle dancers, each wearing leather kilt painted with image of plumed serpent, tail fan of eagle feather, eagle feather wings, and head cap with protruding "beak"; Both figures are shown in left profile in stylized dance pose with their arms / wings outstretched, against plain background with no attempt at perspective; Signature "Awa Tsireh" is printed in black ink in lower right corner. Awa Tsireh was the cousin of Margaret Lou Gutierrez, whose work is represented in the CAS pottery collection. | |
