Description | Stone cut print on white paper entitled "Angels in the Moon" depicting crescent moon face inside scalloped-edged circle at bottom and two Eskimo angels dressed in parkas and mukluks and sporting wings, all printed in black on gray background; "Angels in the Moon, Stone cut, 40/50. Cape Dorset Baffin Island, 1960, Natsivaar" is hand printed in pencil beneath image; Chop marks of artist and of artists' co-op (Canadian Eskimo Art) are printed above in red and black in in upper left corner. This print was selected by Ruth Elkus in 1966 as her annual holiday card, printed by the Grabhorn Press in San Francisco. | |
