Description Untitled painting depicting single stylized Katsina Mana, dressed in woven white manta and white moccasins; Elaborate case mask with red ears, white face with green terraced triangle on lower portion and red terraced triangle on upper portion, surmounted by fan-shaped row of eagle feathers and red and yellow terraced cloud motifs is probably a composite of several katsina figures; Figure is shown without any attempt at perspective; Signature "Fred Kabotie" is printed in black ink in lower right corner. This painting was selected by Ruth and Charles deYoung Elkus as their annual holiday card, probably in 1950, 1952 or 1953, but possibly 1940.
