Description | Tall, round, wheel-thrown jar with flat base and rounded body whose sides flare outward from base to maximum diameter at mid-level height shoulder, then gradually curve inward as they rise before forming a short, narrow diameter neck with everted rim and rounded lip; Single flattened handle is attached vertically to rim and to upper shoulder just below neck; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, although series of shallow ridges are still evident on shoulder; Overall color is gray, with no evidence of any painted designs or other decoration. | |
