Description | Oil lamp with flat base, deep round reservoir with rounded sides, and very wide mouth with inward curving rim; Elongated U-shaped wick channel extends out and slightly upward from rim, with a single perforation in the wall of the reservoir connecting to the spout or wick channel; Interior and exterior surfaces of reservoir are scraped smooth; Designs on exterior are painted in black or very dark brown and consist of a decorative band that encircles the upper half of the reservoir, with a single fine-lined zigzag motif alternating with series of 9 to 12 parallel vertical lines, all framed between very wide upper and lower framing lines; Exterior of wick channel is painted with cross-hatched design on sides and series of parallel straight lines on underside. | |
