| Description | Oil lamp made in two pieces in a mold and then joined together; Round body has flat base, flaring sides, and flattened top with concave center and single perforation for adding fuel; Single heavy handle with large perforation is attached to edge of lamp; Small covered spout with single perforation for wick is attached to edge opposite handle; Top of lamp is decorated with low relief image of standing eagle, shown in 3/4 profile with its head turned to the side; Base is decorated with 5 circular depressions arranged in cross-like pattern, possibly representing a maker's mark. | |
