Description | Hinged, vice-like utensil similar in shape to a nut cracker but with 4 short, parallel U-shaped slots on both the upper and lower arms that line up with each other; Upper arm has an elaborate floral pattern and a curved cylindrical handle; Entire utensil is mounted on four feet that are perforated; "MAW & Son London" is embossed on lower portion; Used to resize cork stoppers by placing the stopper in one of the U-shaped slots and pressing the two halves together, thereby compressing the stopper to a smaller size. | |
