Two standard steel tines and one that also functions as a knife, shaft is plain, handle is plain ovoid dyed green ivory; Stamped "Slack / Salisbury"; From BRL 1982: "Combined knife and fork, England, probably Sheffield made, sold in Salisbury, ca. 1820-1860s; Straight blade, three straight tines; Knife blade on side of form; Marked 'SLACK/SALISBURY' (no info.); Green-dyed, elephant ivory handle; Note: Either a one armed man's knife or a serving piece, most likely the former." |
