Description Egg-shaped and hinged silver ball with all-over pierced design and a stamped heraldic crest on exterior of lid; Hallmark "AB JR" is stamped on interior of lid and along front rim of lower half; Two and four other stamped marks appear in the interior of the lid and along the front rim of the lower half, respectively. NOTE: "ABJR" is a maker's mark; "Lion Passant" is a sterling standard mark for England since 1821; The "Leopard's Head" is town mark for London since 1821; "C" in small black letter is the London assay office letters for 1858-1859 production years; "The Queen Victoria" face is the duty mark for Victoria (1837-1890); Short metal chain and hook are attached to end of tea ball.
