Description From BRL 1982: “Folding knife, probably France; Foil-backed tortoise shell handle, silver bolster and chrysanthemum-shaped burrs; Shell carved out for corkscrew; Iron liners; Steel blade marked with a crown and an illegible word; Semi-lock mechanism; This [item] was original a take-apart like CAS 0389-1916, but has been riveted together with the three iron rivets that have nickel silver burrs; Mid 18th century.”
