Description | Curved steel blade with rounded point with a rat tail tang connected to a silver bolster with circle designs and scalloped proximal end that connects with a multicolored agate handle held on by a small silver button; Blade has very worn hallmark; From BRL 1982: "Table knife, England, probably London, early to mid 18th century; Octagon faceted agate handle; Silver alloy (?) (sic) ferrule, silver alloy burr on end of handle; Broad sweeping round end blade with iron bolster; Marks: 1) Quillon dagger - London guild mark; 2) indistinguishable; A good example." | |
