Description | Large pitcher with flat base, flaring lower sides with maximum diameter at midlevel height, and wide shoulder rising to a wide, constricted neck with flaring rim; Large coiled loop handle is mounted in upright position on shoulder; Prominent spout in the form of a parrot-like bird whose elongated body forms the actual spout is mounted on shoulder opposite handle; Bird's head is turned back so its bulging eyes look back over its own back; Pitcher appears to be dark gray in color but completely undecorated. | |
