Description | Small jar with slightly rounded base, globular lower body rising to maximum diameter just below mid-level height, then tapering inward to form mid-level height shoulder and rising to form wide straight neck with wide mouth, straight rim and rounded lip; Interior and exterior are crudely scraped smooth; Clay fillet is appliquéd around upper neck just below rim and is decorated with series of small triangular indentations; Overall color is black with occasional brown fireclouds, especially around rim. | |
