Description | Shallow round bowl with flat base and low, rounded sides and inward curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and polished; Design band around exterior sides of bowl includes motif consisting of paired wing motifs, painted in black, and repeated 4 times, framed above and below by narrow black framing line; Partially completed design on interior consists of narrow black framing line just below the rim; This jar was commissioned for display with a mannequin who was depicted applying the design, and thus the design is incomplete and the bowl has not actually been fired. | |
